Thanks Chad for the awesome photos!

We would like to apologize to Chad Nix. He is a fan who follows us throughout Florida, taking pictures of Lionel and the Instigator. His pictures can be seen in our photo gallery. His dad has been given credit for the photos that have been submitted. I recently learned that Chad takes these pictures himself, and a great job he does. Keep the pictures coming Chad. We appreciate all that you do!

Lionel & Chad

Sunrise, FL Update

Wednesday, August 25th, 2010

A busy weekend it was, with 3 shows in 2 days. Lionel started out, Friday, placing 5th in wheelies and 3rd in donuts. Not what he had hoped for, but all that changed come racing. Lionel ended up going to the finals against Blue Thunder, in what was the closest race of the evening. Weenk defeated him by inches. Saturday afternoon started out a little better earning 3rd place in both wheelies and donuts. His luck in racing didn’t carry on as he was taken out during the first round. The Saturday evening show appeared to be a much better night for him. Pulling off the best wheelie of the weekend, with lots of air gave him his first win. Having a hard time getting started in donuts hurt his score, ended with him in 4th place. He didn’t quit there. He went onto racing. He was taken out by El Toro Loco, but came back in his place due to him breaking. Defeating Gunslinger in the semi-finals took Lionel into the finals, where he was again defeated by Weenk in Blue Thunder.

Winning Wheelie

Update from Fort Myers, FL at Germain Arena

Tuesday, August 17th, 2010

What a weekend for Lionel. He had a hard time getting to the show due to mechanical issues with his hauler. Thanks to Joey & Malissa Stathas of Monsters on a Mission, lending him a tractor, he was able to make it just in time for the pit party. He was determined not to let the fans or the promoter down. With 3 shows and 3 pit parties in 2 days, he was staying busy.
Friday started out with a close call in the wheelie competition, according to the audiences cheers. Lionel went through the racing bracket for his first win of the weekend. Feeling good and hoping for a win in freestyle was his next defeat. But he cut himself a little short when he rolled the truck over after hitting the van stack. The audience still loved it, but not enough to take first place.
He was very consistent for the remaining 2 shows on Saturday. Wheelie competition was based on crowds enthusiasm. They were excited, but not enough to put him on top. Again, he sped his way through the bracket, bringing home 2 more wins in racing. Freestyle ended with the crowds applause cutting him a tad short of first place. The fan that received the K & N flag at the end of the evening was definitely cheering him on.
